Instructors
Glenn Massie CPP
Twenty years of experience in the protective services field, consulting and providing services on Risk and Threat Assessments, Executive Protection, Security Assessments, Stalking & Threat Management and Public Figure Protection. Mr. Massie is a founding member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP). He is also a member of ASIS (American Society for Industrial Security) and has received the designation of CPP (Certified Protection Professional).
Dr. Michael H. Corcoran
Dr. Corcoran has been in the law enforcement field since 1968 and the threat assessment field since 1970 when he entered the United States Secret Service. While in the Protective Intelligence Squad, he assessed the dangerousness of those threatening the President and Vice President of the United States. Completing his doctorate in 1979 in Behavioral Science, and utilizing his police experience, he specializes in identifying and handling potentially violent subjects.
He does threat assessments, determination of true potentials of dangerousness and criminal profiling for governmental agencies, law enforcement, Fortune 1000 companies, school districts and private individuals across the country. Dr Corcoran teaches classes in how to recognize, deal with and control suicidal, mentally ill, substance abusers and/or combative individuals. He has established guidelines and protocols for evaluating and handling personnel, either pre or post hiring, to avoid conflicts, to assess potentials of violence and to determine truthfulness. He has also assisted in designing, implementing and advising hostage/crisis negotiation teams for local law enforcement and private concerns since 1981. Dr. Corcoran is often called upon as an expert witness in these and other related areas of his expertise.
